Recipe: Muesli Slice Mix Choc Chip + Coconut

You Will Need

  • 1/3 cup butter (70g)
  • 1/3 cup honey (100g)

Optional Extras

  • 1/4 cup sugar of choice
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit of choice

Alternative Recipe (AR)

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil (70g)
  • 1/3 cup rice syrup or maple syrup (90g)


  1. Pre-heat oven to 180o (170o fan forced). Grease and line baking tray (16x26cm or 24x24cm)

  2. Melt butter and honey together
    AR melt coconut oil and rice syrup or maple syrup together

  3. Combine Funch Mix with all ingredients including extras and mix thoroughly

  4. Evenly spread mixture on lined baking tray. Press firmly into the tray until it is solidly packed

  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes on low oven shelf or until the Slice is golden brown

  6. Leave in the tray to cool. Once cold cut to size whilst still in the pan.

Store in an air-tight container

Suggestions for varying the recipe

Cover your muesli bar with:

  • Desiccated Coconut
  • Raw Cacao Nibs
  • Melted Chocolate

Add to your mixture:

  • Raw Cacao Nibs
  • Raisins or Sultanas
  • Crushed Nuts of Choice

Other uses once cooked:

  • Crumble and use for breakfast cereal
  • Crush and sprinkle on your yoghurt or ice-cream
